Drama Boosters:
Drama Boosters is a registered 501(c) nonprofit organization that plays an essential role in sustaining the Drama and Technical Theatre Program at San Marin. The Booster team consists of four volunteer roles: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer who meet once per month with the Drama Teacher and are tasked with planning and developing in the following areas: fundraising, community outreach and guest artist appearances, program and event marketing, costume acquisition and building, set construction, production material acquisition (set building materials, props, additional lighting/sound equipment), organizing volunteers and collecting refreshment donations for events, as well as volunteering their personal time for the production events (ticket collection, house management, refreshment sales, etc.). Most importantly, the funds raised by the Drama Boosters allow for the purchase of performance rights, play scripts, and music rights, as well as the other essential things we need to produce a play like: set building materials, production marketing, props, costumes, guest artists, additional sound, lighting and communication equipment, educational field trips, and creative digital software programs.
